Feeling distinctly stressed and oogly today.

I think if I get out in my Hallowe'en costume that will be as a rather subdued magical pony.

But I got home to, instead of a saga of missed deliveries and package notices and treking to pick up, a package stuffed into my mailbox. Totally squishible item, significantly smaller than I expected.

So things are looking up.

My day included enjoying costumes seen while taking transit.

This morning there was a girl in fuzzy green ears and tail and green butterfly wings.

Today is, of course, Hallowe'en, and I've worn my tail to school. I haven't seen much by the way of costumes (not that I'd call what I've got on that: just a couple of accessories). So far I've seen a girl wearing a headband with glowing pumpkins on the end of antennae, seen a strange humped shape go past the classroom window, heared the Hamburgler is around somewhere, and seen a girl in a camoflague pattern tank top with hanging dogtags. I'm not sure if that last is a costume or someone's usual attire!

Howloween

I went to Howloween last night, and enjoyed it.

Hardly anyone got my costume; I guess being a Mole is just too obscure for people, even when I did make enlightening digging motions. Ah well. My pendant was cute, anyway.

There was mingling, snacks, people to recognise and interesting unfamiliar ones. Scritching. Bellyrubs.

The panel-ish thing on how to perform in a fursuit got an audience of just about everyone else in the room, and quickly got to involving audience participation, or at least suggestions. When River was told to mime Driving a Beetle and wondered what kind, I yelled "with shiny wings". So we were treated to a large Wolf hunched down, pushing an invisible insect around with his forefinger.

It was a fun time.
