Series completed

Contented quiet time in two used bookstores in Bellingham today yielded me first a small pile of Jacqueline Lichtenberg novels. Molt Brother finally. I met that series by picking up the second book in a library booksale, and bought Molt Brother in ebook form but still wanted it on paper. Next to that on the shelf was her Dushau triology, so I got those three books wih only a very vague idea of what they're about actually.

Then in the second bookstore I found The Healing of Crossroads by Nick O'Donohoe so I finally have that trilogy complete on my shelf. That's another case where I happened to pick up the second book (middle, in this case) used. I look forward to getting to read the whole series in order, though Under the Healing Sign had a good level of what came before explanation. Also a nice cover with centaurs on, probably why I picked it up in the first place.

My letter for this year's Yuletide story exchange.

Thank you for taking on writing a story for me! I am excited and grateful.

(Plus I get to talk about some works I really like.)

My requests are for

Lifewave Series | Kren Series - Jacqueline Lichtenberg (science fiction novels)

Blood Brothers - Willy Russell (musical about class and fate)

Bolt (2008) (animated film about a dog learning he isn't actually a superhero)

General thoughts

All of these are works where I'm fascinated by the universe and whole story, so wherever inspiration takes you in terms of time and character focus. I particularly enjoy themes of making family and interpersonal bonds, whether that's pairs (any gender and species combination) or confusions or networks, innocently or implied not so innocent.

I think Molt Brother and City of a Million Legends are officially called Books of the First Lifewave, or is that The First Lifewave series, or... At rate, this year I nominated those as Kren series - Jacqueline Lichtenberg.

Planning to pretty much carry over the request I made last year. During that NaNowriMo event writing time I've drafted my other two requests / bits of Dear Yuletide author letter!

Yuletide letter!

This is my first year being all signed up for Yuletide, and I'm excited!

My first request (and incredibly unlikely, I know) is Kingdom Chums.

Truly anything to do with these characters (especially the Kingdom Chums themselves) would make me happy. Little David's Adventure book or animated, and/or The Original Top Ten. Humor and not taking seriously is fine, although I can't stand puns. While I'm not in the least attached to the religious part of things, it doesn't put me off either, so as heavily or lightly-to-nothing of that aspect as you're comfortable writing.

Or what about crossing over with any fuzzy sort of characters: Care Bears. My Little Pony. Bambi. The Wombles.

My other two requests are both sources by Jacqueline Lichtenberg.

Sime/Gen and Kren Universe )

I can't really handle... )

However I can skim past anything I'm unfond of, if I need to.

Thank you, writer, for whatever you choose to write! I am so very excited about getting a present of story!

(The exclaimation marks might give my excitement away. Possibly.)
